SYLLABUS FOR THE POST OF GROUP-C (CLERK)
(WRITTEN EXAMINATION)
A. General Knowledge – 15 Marks
Questions will be designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society.
প্রশ্নগুলি প্রার্থীকে তার/তার আশেপাশের পরিবেশ এবং এর সমাজে প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে সাধারণ জ্ঞান যাচাই করতে তৈরি করা হবে।
B. Current Affairs – 15 Marks
Questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience. The test will also include questions relating to India and other countries, especially pertaining to Sports, History, Literature, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, Polity, Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.
প্রশ্নগুলি বর্তমান ঘটনাবলী এবং প্রতিদিনের পর্যবেক্ষণ ও অভিজ্ঞতার বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান যাচাই করার জন্য তৈরি করা হবে। পরীক্ষায় ভারত এবং অন্যান্য দেশের সাথে সম্পর্কিত প্রশ্ন অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে, বিশেষ করে ক্রীড়া, ইতিহাস, সাহিত্য, সংস্কৃতি, ভূগোল, অর্থনৈতিক বিজ্ঞান, রাজনীতি, ভারতীয় সংবিধান এবং বৈজ্ঞানিক গবেষণার বিষয়ে।
C. General English – 15 Marks
Candidates’ understanding of the fundamentals of the English language, such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, and its correct usage, etc., would be tested.

D. Arithmetic – 15 Marks
Questions in this component will cover the number system, including questions on simplification, decimals, recurring decimals, divisibility, fractions, LCM, HCF, partnership, average, ratio and proportion, percentage, profit and loss, discount, simple interest, time and work, and time and distance.
